A Few Helpful Hints
When considering a day in Alpine areas, it is very important to be prepared.
Make sure that all members of your party are properly clothed as cold, wet people are not likely to be having fun. See the "What to Wear" page on this site. A dry change of clothes is also a good idea, especially for children.
Know what you need to hire before you get to the Ski Hire. This will get you to Lake Mountain quicker, with more time to spend having fun. Feel free to print out our "Equipment List" pdf. at the bottom of this page.
Make sure your car is in good repair, that tyres are safe, you have anti freeze in your radiator and your petrol tank is full. Remember that you must carry chains on chains designated days or you will not be allowed to enter Lake Mountain. Do not drive beyond your abilities and use pull over spots if you are holding up traffic. See the "Snow Safe" link for snow driving advice.
